‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ Wins “Soul of Vitruvius” Award

Rise of the Tomb Raider may have been released over two years ago but the best-selling game is still winning awards for its gameplay and graphics. The 2015 game recently earned another accolade, Steam’s “Soul of Vitruvius” Award, for its beautifully rendered protagonist. In late 2017, the Valve Corporation called on Steam users to vote for games in any (or all) of its thirteen quirky award categories over a two-week period. Forget the usual generic “Best Game” ... ‘Tomb Raider’ Fan Recreates Croft Manor in LEGO Worlds

There may not be a LEGO game set in the Tomb Raider universe (yet) but I’m sure many of us would sell our souls for a LEGO Tomb Raider game after seeing this fan-made recreation of Croft Manor. Die-hard Tomb Raider fan and LEGO aficionado Ross Kearney created a spectacular mash-up of Croft Manor in LEGO Worlds, a feat that took him over 80 hours to complete. From the obstacle course and garden maze first seen in Tomb Raider 2 to the treasure vault (and T-rex head) seen in Tomb Raider ... [Continue Reading]

The 10 Scariest Tomb Raider Enemies: The Core Design Years

Halloween will soon be upon us so I thought we’d start getting in the spirit of things and take a look at ten of the scariest enemies Lara has come across in the Core Design games. That is, from the very first Tomb Raider (1996) all the way through to (and including) the 2003 game Angel of Darkness. The low-tech graphics of the 1990s and early 2000s only adds to their fear factor, in my personal opinion… So, here are the 10 scariest Tomb Raider enemies from the Core Design games ...
