After what has felt like centuries of waiting, Tomb Raider fans finally got their first glimpse of Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay at today’s Xbox E3 briefing. It’s been a year since a sequel to the best-selling Tomb Raider 2013 was announced and it’s only in the past few weeks that the Rise of the Tomb Raider marketing campaign has really begun to hit its stride. Pegged for a November 10th release date, I suspect we’ll be seeing plenty more gameplay demos, screenshots, and promotional material over the next few months, so stay tuned.
I’ll be saving my thoughts on the gameplay reveal video for another article (watch this space) but for now, please enjoy the gameplay video in all its blockbusting glory and check out some official screenshots from the game.
I don’t know about you but that Middle Eastern location has me quite excited. Indiana Jones, eat your heart out.

Please note that the showcase demo shown at E3 has not been cleared for publishing on this site but I will publish it here once I’m able to. Alternatively, you can watch the Xbox briefing – and the 6-minute Rise of the Tomb Raider showcase demo – in its entirety over on the Xbox website.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will be out for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10th, 2015 and is available for pre-order on Amazon and Amazon UK.

This looks pretty incredible. I am excited already. I assume there is nothing on a PS4 release date?
None…but we weren’t really expecting a PS4 release announcement during an Xbox briefing.. 🙂
